On September 14-15, 2024, the CFC-Youth Greater Vancouver North A hosted a vibrant and spiritually uplifting Youth Camp at Little Flower Monastery, Carmel Hill, Deroche, BC. The camp, themed *Admirari*—Latin for “to marvel”—was inspired by Romans 11:36: *”For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever!”* This theme invited participants to reflect on the great wonders of God’s works in their daily lives and to grow deeper in faith and spiritual awareness.
The camp was blessed with 20 new participants, each eager to explore and deepen their relationship with Christ. A dedicated service team of 30 youth leaders, filled with zeal and passion for their mission, facilitated the sessions, creating an atmosphere of fellowship, prayer, and spiritual discovery.
The community expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Mario Fernandes, OCD, Director of the Retreat Centre, for his spiritual guidance and support throughout the camp. Special thanks were also extended to Fr. Vincent Dsouza, OCD, superior of the monastery, and Fr. Stephen Lobo, OCD, Assistant Director, whose presence and assistance contributed to the success of the camp.
This inspiring weekend marked a milestone for many young participants, encouraging them to live out their faith more fully and recognize God’s presence in their everyday lives.
